Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of DEN BJJ services and facilities operated by Hughes Ventures LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By signing up for a membership or attending classes, you agree to these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or participating in classes at DEN BJJ, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Trial and Billing

Free Trial: New members receive a 7-day free trial with unlimited class access. No credit card is required to start your trial.

Paid Memberships: After your trial, you may choose to continue with a paid membership. Memberships are billed on a recurring basis through Invoice Ninja, our billing provider, and renew automatically until cancelled.

Billing: By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable membership fees. Card payments are processed by Stripe as the payment gateway; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.

Memberships

Monthly plans: Billed monthly until you cancel. Cancelling stops future billing, and you keep access to the end of the month you've paid for. No refunds for partial months. You can pause from the Billing page with a reason; if your membership is billed to your household, the account holder pauses it from the Family page. Billing stops while paused; if you've already paid for the month, you keep training until it ends. Your next billing date is set when you resume.

Founders Club: Your monthly price is locked for as long as your payments stay current. Pauses are allowed for injury and other special circumstances. If you cancel, the Founders price is not offered again, and rejoining is at the regular price.

Prepaid plans: Paid up front for a fixed term. You can pause, and your remaining time stops counting down until you resume. Prepaid plans can't be cancelled for a refund of unused time. When the prepaid term ends, your membership renews monthly at its connected monthly rate until you cancel, unless the offer's own terms say it does not renew; you can cancel the renewal before the first monthly charge.

Promotions

Each offer shows its price, what's included, who can buy it and its own terms on the offer page. Those terms apply along with these.

Included merchandise: pick your sizes at checkout. Pre-order sizes are handed out when our next order arrives. Included items have no cash value.

An offer can end or sell out at any time; a purchase already made keeps its terms.

Code of Conduct

All members are expected to:

• Respect all training partners, instructors, and staff
• Maintain proper hygiene, including clean training attire and trimmed nails
• Train safely and tap early when caught in submissions
• Follow instructor guidance and gym rules
• Refrain from aggressive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior
• Not train while injured, sick, or impaired

Violation of the code of conduct may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.

Liability Waiver

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a contact sport that carries inherent risks, including but not limited to bruises, sprains, strains, fractures, and other injuries. By participating in classes and training at DEN BJJ, you acknowledge these risks and agree to:

• Assume all risk of injury or harm
• Release DEN BJJ, Hughes Ventures LLC, instructors, and staff from any liability for injuries or damages
• Waive any claims against DEN BJJ for injuries sustained during training

You are responsible for your own health and safety. Consult a physician before beginning training if you have any medical conditions or concerns.

Intellectual Property

All content on denbjj.com and members.denbjj.com, including logos, designs, text, graphics, and videos, is the property of Hughes Ventures LLC or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms or the code of conduct
• Unsafe or disrespectful behavior
• Non-payment of membership fees
• Any other reason at our sole discretion

Upon termination, you will lose access to classes and the member portal. No refunds will be issued for terminated memberships.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of DEN BJJ services will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be governed by the laws of the State of Colorado and resolved in the courts of Arapahoe County, Colorado.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
